A mutable object will have at least a single method able to mutate the object.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Objects of built-in types like (<code style=\"color: #dd1144\">list<\/code>,\u00a0<code style=\"color: #dd1144\">set<\/code>,\u00a0<code style=\"color: #dd1144\">dict<\/code>) are mutable, Custom classes are generally mutable. To simulate immutability in a class, one should override attribute setting and deletion to raise exceptions:<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Please refer\u00a0<a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"http:\/\/python.net\/~goodger\/projects\/pycon\/2007\/idiomatic\/handout.html#python-has-names\">&#8220;names concept&#8221;<\/a>\u00a0in python, if you don&#8217;t have a clear concept on<code style=\"color: #dd1144\">objects<\/code>,<code style=\"color: #dd1144\">identifier<\/code>, `variables.<\/p>\n<p>A practical example to findout the mutablity of object types<\/p>\n<pre style=\"color: creation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the case of\u00a0<strong>mutable objects<\/strong><\/p>\n<pre style=\"color: #444444\"><code class=\"lang-python\" style=\"color: inherit\"><span class=\"hljs-setting\">m = <span class=\"hljs-value\">list([<span class=\"hljs-number\" style=\"color: #009999\">1<\/span>, <span class=\"hljs-number\" style=\"color: #009999\">2<\/span>, <span class=\"hljs-number\" style=\"color: #009999\">3<\/span>])<\/span><\/span>\r\n<span class=\"hljs-setting\">n = <span class=\"hljs-value\">n<\/span><\/span>\r\n<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>We are creating an object of type\u00a0<code style=\"color: #dd1144\">list<\/code>. identifiers m and m\u00a0<code style=\"color: #dd1144\">tagged<\/code>\u00a0to the same\u00a0<code style=\"color: #dd1144\">list<\/code>\u00a0object, which is a collection of 3 immutable\u00a0<code style=\"color: #dd1144\">int<\/code>\u00a0objects.<\/p>\n<pre style=\"color: #444444\"><code class=\"lang-python\"
